The Doers Gathering is a by-invitation-only event hosted by University of Oregon - School of Journalism and Communication (UO-SOJC) Agora Journalism Center - in collaboration with the Vanport Mosaic and Fair Housing Council Of Oregon. The goal of this gathering is to learn about and celebrate community-centered initiatives and visions that we find impactful and inspiring, to create ongoing direct access to resources that can tangibly support these Doers. Doers and Resource Contributors will explore promising community-centric approaches to funding and resource distribution. We hope this will be the beginning of sustained relationships across silos, connecting our individual efforts to addressing our city’s most pressing challenges and bringing more support and resources for the vibrant local mycelial network of cultural workers and land tenders.
